Dr Mark Ruggeri has served the patients at Oakwood Dental for 13 years now. Dr Ruggeri is a graduate of University at Buffalo College of Dentistry and completed his residency at The Veterans Hospital in Brooklyn. Dr Ruggeri comes from a family of servers in the Staten Island area. His siblings are firemen, teachers and one has a PhD and studies cancer – his mother has served the community in the NY library Staten Island for over 25 years, so this man is no stranger to serving the people of Staten.

Dr Ruggeri is a member of the ADA, NYSDA, SDDS.

Dr Ruggeri is an expert in all aspects of dentistry. He has a special interest in high esthetics and complex, functional smile reconstructions, including full mouth implant restorations, utilizing the best in class, All on Four, All on X and Teeth Tomorrow, with the aid of the best in digital technology iTero and Ceres digital.

Since graduating NYU in 1986, Dr. Rao has been providing cosmetic and general dentistry, including veneers, Invisalign and implant restorations, to his patients in a friendly and professional manner…and his patients will often tell him “that’s the best injection I’ve ever had!”

Dr. Rao also has a special interest in Dental Sleep Medicine.

Not only is he certified as a Qualified Provider by the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, he also has the prestigious distinction of being a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, working closely with the medical community providing treatment alternatives for sleep apnea to his patients.

Dr. Vincent Pannone Focuses On oral implantology, including implant surgery, implant prosthodontics, bone grafting, and tissue regeneration. His primary clinical focus is implant dentistry, encompassing tooth extraction, bone grafting, sinus augmentation, implant surgery, and implant prosthodontics. Dr. Pannone provides comprehensive treatments, from single or multiple tooth replacements to full-mouth reconstruction and rehabilitation.

As one of the Clinical Directors at Oakwood Dental Arts, he collaborates closely with all doctors to ensure the best diagnosis, planning, and treatment outcomes for patients.

Dr. Zaccary Cardito has been working at Oakwood Dental for 2.5 years. Dr. Cardito strives to deliver the best in class in mouth rehabilitation to his patients and his PRIMARY FOCUS is esthetics. Dr. Cardito has a special interest in functional mouth rehabilitation, he loves to restore a smile to a patient’s face.

My areas of expertise are primarily in Esthetics and Full Mouth Rehabilitation.

Dr Abbas is originally from Toronto, Canada. He moved to New York to attend NYU College of dentistry. Dr Abbas furthered his clinical skills at a residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, a level one trauma centre. 

Dr Habi Abbas specialises in oral surgery and implant dentistry.

Dr Lovetere joined Oakwood last year and is proud to call Oakwood Dental and New Jersey home. He is a graduate of New York University College of Dentistry and completed his residency at Interfaith Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Lovetere was born and raised a ‘New Yorker’.

Dr Thomas Lovetere is a member of the ADA, NY County Dental Society – 1st District, NJ Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Lovetere’s areas of expertise are Cosmetic, General and Implant Dentistry. He has been certified in Invisalign for over 20 years, Cad/Cam Dentistry.

Dr Thomas Lovetere’s areas of expertise are Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dentistry, with a special interest in functional smile reconstruction, utilizing porcelain veneers, implants, digital CAD/CAM restorations and Invisalign.

Dr Glen Watkinson joined the Oakwood Dental family last year. Dr Watkinson is a General Dentist, who prides himself on giving patients ample opportunity to have as many questions answered and likes to ensure his patients receive the highest quality dental care available.

Dr Watkinson attended Rutger University, Cook College and University of Maryland School of Dentistry.

Dr. Sara graduated from Rutgers University and Montclair State University with degrees in Psychology and Biochemistry. Afterwards he attended NYU, obtaining his DDS degree in 2019. He then completed his residency at Jersey City MedicalCenter – a large trauma centre in the most diverse city in the nation – whilst on the front line of a global pandemic. 

Dr. Sara is a trilingual General Dentist, born and raised in New Jersey. Dr James Sara’s roots run deep in the community.  Dr. Sara’s goal is to provide expert care, while ensuring his patients feel comfortable. He strives to keep his patients smiling.
